La Grange D105 hires Proficio to review special‑education programs and services

On July 28 the La Grange Elementary School District 105 Board authorized a special‑education program and services review with Proficio Consulting Group. Jennifer Sabourin presented the scope: site visits, classroom observations, interviews, data and file reviews, and a written report to identify strengths and improvement opportunities.
Sabourin said the review will examine whether students are being over‑ or under‑identified, evaluate service delivery models and compare practices across schools to improve equity and alignment with the district's new strategic plan. The minutes state the work will be grounded in federal and state regulations and may lead to further professional development or corrective actions depending on findings.
The board approved moving forward with the initial phase, and administration will return with findings and any recommended next steps.
