The West Carroll Community Unit School District #314 Board of Education approved the Feb. 4, 2026, strategic planning agenda and proceeded to work on drafting the district's mission, vision and core beliefs.
Greg Stott moved "to approve February 4, 2026, Strategic Planning agenda as presented," and Zac Vandendooren seconded the motion; the board recorded six "Yea" votes and the motion Passed. President Fred Tipton called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m., and the session took place in the West Carroll High School Library.
Board members reviewed goals and objectives for the planning process and consulted materials from the previous session as the basis for producing a draft strategic plan. The agenda listed work items including review of basic ground rules, review of work from the prior session, and a focused effort to "Develop / Revise West Carroll CUSD #314, Mission, Vision, Beliefs/Values." During the substantive planning work, board member Juliene McCormick exited at 6:56 p.m.
The meeting adjourned at 7:56 p.m. after a motion to adjourn from Greg Stott, seconded by Jeff Woodside, which also Passed. No additional meeting date is recorded in the minutes.
