Board approves personnel hires, resignations and volunteer appointments across schools

The board approved a broad slate of personnel actions in the consent agenda during the Oct. 2 meeting. The items include employment approvals (for example, Mary Nicole Evans as a bus aide and Tamara Chumley in a blended cafeteria manager/transportation role), temporary-teacher appointments (with waivers of the 15-day waiting period in some cases), accepted resignations with permission to post vacancies, and many volunteer appointments for athletics and student organizations across Corydon Central High School, junior high, and elementary schools.
The vote to approve the consent agenda (items X.1–X.5, including the personnel slate) was made by Karen Lopp, seconded by Barbara Smith, and passed 6–0 with Nick Evans absent. The minutes list dozens of individual personnel entries by name and position; where the minutes note waivers (for temporary teachers) they were recorded as approved.
Personnel approvals cover instructional assistants, coaches, volunteer academic and extracurricular positions, homebound instructors, and other support roles. The board's action authorizes administration to complete hiring processes and to post and fill any vacated positions as described.
