The South Harrison Community School Board approved a broad personnel package Feb. 3 that includes multiple coach hirings, resignations and staff transfers across the district.
Action on the consent agenda included approval of Michael Shearer as tennis head coach for the 2025-2026 school year and the employment of several track and field assistant and second assistant coaches. The minutes record multiple resignations and permissions to post vacated positions for coaches Quentin Combs, Daniel Jason Helms and Michael Leghart across boys and girls assignments.
The consent agenda also approved instructional assistant transfers and hires at several buildings, including Kennedy McCloskey (transfer to full-time special education instructional assistant) and other staff changes at Corydon Elementary and intermediate schools.
All listed personnel items on the consent agenda were approved in a single motion by Steven Simler, seconded by Deneen Stewart, and passed unanimously (7-0). The minutes do not attach narrative explanations for individual resignations or hires beyond the personnel listings, and no discussion of individual personnel circumstances is recorded in the public minutes.
