Board recognizes student athletes and SEK Coach of the Year recipients

Board members recognized Chanute High School athletes for conference and state qualifying performances across volleyball, soccer, football, tennis, cross country, golf and unified bowling. The roster of honors included first- and second-team All-SEK selections, state qualifiers and All-State finishers.
The board also recognized SEK Coach of the Year awardees from Chanute High School: Jory Murry (volleyball), Jeff Smith (girls tennis), Trevor Ewert (girls golf) and Brett Rinehart (boys cross country). Coaches were introduced by school staff during the recognition segment.
