On a motion by Steven Simler and seconded by Karen Lopp, the board approved hires (for example, Keeana Fleming as Attendance Liaison and Sarah Carl as Instructional Coach), accepted resignations (including Susan Eastridge and several coaching staff) and approved transfers and volunteer appointments. The motion passed by a recorded vote of five in favor, none opposed, with Nick Evans and Deneen Stewart recorded as absent.
The consent agenda grouped routine items—approval of minutes from July 1 and July 28, 2025, and the claim docket—together with the personnel slate. Several hires were noted as contingent upon proper licensure, including the Harrison County Exceptional Learners Cooperative appointment of George Novak as Essential Skills Teacher. The board also approved a contract-day increase for Lindsay Dunaway at Corydon Central Junior High from 185 to 195 days.
