Debbie Boot, an insurance agent from Ravenna, told commissioners she and clients are seeing changes in Medicaid plan networks that have left some residents without access to their local hospital. "We need resources in the Medicaid market," Boot said, asking for a county point of contact to coordinate assistance.
Commissioner Sabrina Christian Bennett offered to provide the director's phone number and named the JFS director, Kelly Jo Jeffreys, as the appropriate staff contact for follow-up. Bennett said county staff will follow up with the insurance agency to coordinate outreach and suggested residents and providers call the JFS director for help navigating plan changes.
