The City Council approved a series of land-use items covering rezoning, conditional use permits and renewals. Highlights include an ordinance (No. 5837) rezoning an agricultural parcel to single-family residential to allow a new subdivision; an ordinance (No. 5838) rezoning townhouses to general business to permit conversion into a 34-room hotel; and a conditional use permit (No. 5840) for a children's event center approved for two years after council discussion about testing for noise impacts.
Staff told the council the hotel applicant had coordinated with the fire department and could complete required upgrades. On mobile food units and food truck park renewals, staff recommended short trial periods or lifetime approvals when no complaints existed; council adopted multiple ordinances (5839, 5841, 5842, 5843, 5844, 5845, 5846 where noted) with unanimous votes. Votes at a glance list each ordinance number and its outcome to provide an at-a-glance record of approvals.
