Mission Regional Medical Center honored with city proclamation for patient-safety record

Chuck Silva, speaking on behalf of Mission Regional Medical Center, thanked the council and staff and affirmed the hospital's commitment to the community. "We have achieved 12 straight A grades in patient safety from the LeapFrog Group," Silva said, adding that many hospital staff live in the city and consider the facility part of the community. The council invited hospital representatives forward for a photo after the proclamation.
