Hernando County Education Foundation and district establish Lorraine McLean legacy teaching scholarship

Tammy Brinker (introduced by the superintendent as a foundation representative) invited family members forward as the board and foundation presented the recognition plaque.
The foundation said the scholarship will support future educators pursuing teaching careers and current educators seeking professional growth. Family members and board leaders offered remembrances; no formal board vote or budget action for the scholarship was recorded in the meeting transcript.
