The South Harrison Community School Corporation board approved its consent agenda on Dec. 2, 2025, in a 7‑0 vote, authorizing personnel hires, resignations, operational agreements, field trips and multiple fundraisers.
The motion to approve items X.1 through X.6 was made by Karen Lopp and seconded by Barbara Smith. The consent package included approval of the claim docket and minutes; personnel actions such as hiring Giavanna Harris as a teacher at Corydon Central High School and approving a temporary teacher appointment for Karen York (with a waiver of the 15‑day waiting period); volunteer coach approvals across schools; and operational items including Camp Invention funding for Summer 2026 and a placement agreement with Western Governors University. Specific field trips approved included a 4th‑grade visit to the Indiana Statehouse and Museum (April 1–2, 2026) and multiple 6th‑grade trips to Holiday World (May 20 and May 21, 2026).
The consent agenda also accepted several donations: $500 from the Bryce Gerlach Memorial Foundation to the Physical Education Department, $735 from First Harrison Bank for the Veterans Day Breakfast, and $1,500 from JWILCO Enterprises LLC (ServPro) to varsity basketball. Agreements approved included Interstate Studio for 2026–27 school pictures. All consent items were recorded as "approved as submitted."
