Weld County honors Isabel Vasquez for 33 years at public health department

The Weld County Board of County Commissioners on July 27 presented a certificate of achievement to Isabel Vasquez, recognizing service to the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment dating back to Sept. 13, 1993. Commissioners said her tenure — spanning more than 32 years — has touched thousands of residents and helped mentor multiple generations of county staff.
Director Cheshire and Commissioner Jason Maxey praised Vasquez’s institutional knowledge and commitment. Vasquez accepted the recognition and thanked family and coworkers, saying, “I do need to give all honor and glory to God, because without him, this would not have been possible.” The board asked Vasquez and her family to join for a photograph; commissioners noted her work will be missed and wished her well in retirement.
