The Monroe County Community School Corporation board approved its personnel report on July 28, which presented new administrator appointments, status changes and retirements.
Dr. Henderson highlighted appointments including Matthew Britton as assistant athletic director and head men's basketball coach at Bloomington High School North, Steven Marshall as principal at Summit Elementary, and Aaron Ritter as principal at Childs Elementary. Dr. Henderson also announced two certified-staff retirements: James Callahan (29 years) and Harold Green (nearly 26 years), a combined 55 years of service.
Board members expressed appreciation for retirees and welcomed the new administrators. Matthew Britton told trustees he is "excited to be joining the North Cougar family" and said he looks forward to serving students when they return in August. The personnel report was moved, seconded and approved at the meeting.
