Board adopts 4.06% increase to Level 1 school facility fees and CEQA notice

Trustees adopted two related resolutions to update Level 1 school facility fees for residential, commercial and industrial development following this year's state allocation board action.
Hanif explained the state board approved a 4.06% inflationary increase on 01/29/2026 and recommended the district adopt resolution 2697 (fee justification report) and resolution 2698 (notice of CEQA exemption) so the district may begin collecting the revised fee. "By approving these resolutions, you provide us with the approval to start collecting the revised fee with the increase of 4.06 effective September 26," he said. Trustees moved and approved both resolutions.
The effective date is framed as 60 days after board approval. Staff said the increase applies to new projects and additions and follows the state's annual adjustment process.
