The Robbinsville Township Council adopted an ordinance amending Chapter 7 of the municipal code governing traffic, a measure carried over from the July 9 meeting.
The chair said the police and township engineer had reviewed the proposal and that a recent site visit reinforced the need for the changes to improve resident safety. "I truly believe that this is an important ordinance to pass for the safety of our residents," the chair said before roll call.
Alicia conducted the roll call and the motion carried; council recorded unanimous support. The ordinance was introduced as a safety measure and the council did not attach additional study or implementation conditions in the meeting minutes.
The council moved on to other agenda items after the vote.
