Prosecutor says amended budget filing omitted Axon software line; asks county to cover service

"I pulled up my 2026 budget proposal and made the amendments off of that," he said, describing how the mistake altered several salary allocations and depositions lines.
Commissioners asked staff to compare Gateway records and return with the advertised version(s). They also discussed whether the prosecutor's requested Axon cost could instead be paid from litigation (lit) funds or be apportioned across funds that benefit from the system.
