During department updates, business services and educational services highlighted operational wins and pilot results. Business services reported nutrition services have recently exceeded 7,000 meals served per day, compared with pre-COVID levels of 3,300 and a previous average of about 6,300.
Educational services described an ARP-funded independent-study pilot that has recovered 2,096 days of ADA at participating elementary sites, which the presenter estimated equated to about $132,000 recovered so far; 1st Avenue was cited as having recovered 137 days (about $8,900). Staff called the early results "very promising" and said the high school is not yet included in the pilot.
