Adams said the program resurfaced approximately 6.01 miles of roadway and described the GIS/CAD-based pavement-history tool staff use to prioritize work. In the presentation Adams cited a final construction cost of $861,267.39 for the paving contract and explained that final costs depend on actual quantities installed. He also described a $77,100 difference tied to scope changes and said staff will address that change order on the new-business agenda.
Commissioners asked about the schedule for the Mayo (Mail) Plaza grant and the timeline for consultant selection and final engineering; Adams said paperwork is pending at the state, a consultant will be selected, and then design and construction schedules will follow.
