Board approves consolidated Chief Technology and Innovation Officer job description

The Arcadia Unified School District Board of Education on July 22 approved a new classified management job description creating the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer position, combining the former technology and strategy roles following the retirement of Scott Bramley. The motion to approve the job description was moved, seconded and carried without opposition.
Board President said "Congratulations, mister Ghazanian" following the vote. District staff explained the change will reduce one management position as part of expenditure reduction efforts while aligning strategy and technology responsibilities under a single job description. The board welcomed Greg Ghazanian as the district's newly titled chief and asked staff to ensure duties such as infrastructure in portables and device account provisioning are captured in the role’s responsibilities.
The action was procedural and administrative in scope; no additional budget allocation was recorded during the vote. Staff noted the consolidation will be monitored as part of ongoing budget and staffing reviews.
