Board adopts Arcadia Unified’s 2025–26 LCAP, citing priorities for student outcomes

The Arcadia Unified School District Board of Education voted to approve the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) for 2025–26 after staff summarized the plan’s goals and metrics.
Greg Anderson, the staff presenter for the LCAP, told the board the plan is structured around five broad goals and associated actions and metrics: “So just in summary, there's 5 broad goals, 25 associated actions to those goals,” he said. Anderson walked through funding buckets tied to the goals and explained that some actions are funded across larger buckets rather than listed with their own distinct line-item allocation.
Board members asked staff to explain notable year‑over‑year differences in parent and student surveys and were told staff will pursue follow‑up work — including student focus groups and deeper metric review — to determine whether anomalies represent real changes or artifacts of survey sampling and timing. Staff also said two new LCAP actions and seven new metrics were added for the coming year to strengthen monitoring.
A board member moved to approve the plan and a second was recorded. The board approved the LCAP on a 4–0 voice vote.
The LCAP will now be submitted according to statutory deadlines and shared with the County and state review processes; staff said they do not anticipate substantive changes from the county pre‑review.
