The Arcadia Unified School District Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Shannon Will as an assistant principal at Arcadia High School, effective July 22, 2025. District staff said the hiring process drew 83 applications, with six candidates interviewed in person and three advancing to a second round before Will was chosen.
Dr. Angela Dillman introduced Will as the finalist and praised her four years transforming the high school library into “a space of exploration and discovery.” After the board vote carried 5–0, Will thanked the board and family members in the audience, saying she was “humbled, grateful, and excited to accept the role of assistant principal at Arcadia High School.” The board called for a quick photo with Will’s family following the vote.
Board members complimented Will’s work as the district librarian and expressed confidence she will transfer that leadership to the assistant principal role. Chair (speaker 3) called for the vote; the motion was moved and seconded by board members and carried unanimously. The decision is a formal personnel action; no amendments or conditions were recorded during the meeting.
