The Arcadia Unified School District Board of Education unanimously approved Resolution 24-25-25, designating March 2025 as Women's History Month.
At the Feb. 25 meeting a board member moved the resolution and the board approved it by voice vote. Student representative Miss Van said the women on the board, her teachers and administrators were “some of my biggest inspirations,” underscoring the local context for the district proclamation.
District staff read the resolution into the record, noting federal and congressional origins for the observance and describing the district’s intent to recognize women’s contributions to education and community life. The item was moved by Mrs. Chavez and received a second; the board recorded the motion as passing 5–0.
The proclamation will be added to the district calendar and public communications for March programming and recognition events.
