Algonquin Elementary reports PTO kickoff, bus behavior review and Chartwells farmers market

Algonquin Elementary presented updates Sept. 22: first PTO meeting, bus behavior tours by transportation, a Chartwells farmers market event and a RESA ELA book club to support reading instruction.
Brooklynn Lestage told the board that "The elementaries just had their first PTO meeting." She said transportation staff will run a bus tour to review behavior expectations and that Chartwells hosted a farmers market last week allowing students to shop with Chartwells bucks. Lestage also reported that RESA will run an ELA book club to assist teachers with reading instruction and that PLCs have met and student groups were created.
The report was informational; no board action followed. The district will continue to support transportation expectations and literacy supports through RESA collaboration.
