Melissa Hanners, the district's curriculum director, presented the final review of the high school chemistry and physics pilot and said the curriculum adoption "will be an Action Item on the December Board agenda." Staff cited pilot-data review meetings and long-range planning for the adoption. The presentation indicated the board will consider formal adoption at the December meeting.
Hanners also reported districtwide curriculum and intervention updates: all K–5 classrooms are now set up with BOOST Reading and grades 5–6 have begun the SuccessMaker Math intervention. The district received a mentoring grant of $50,500 to support teacher mentoring and professional learning structures.
