The Buildings & Grounds Committee reported progress on maintenance and upcoming construction projects at the Jan. 12 meeting.
Committee members said a crack in the bus garage wash bay was repaired during the break, mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) projects and new graphics at Lake Ann and the middle school have been completed, and a thermal scan of the bus garage is planned for the following week. Aluminum door and window replacements are scheduled for spring break. The board reported that all contracts for Summer 2026 sinking fund projects have been signed; Grand Traverse Construction will be onsite during spring break to review Betsie Valley Elementary projects and work is planned to begin after the school year ends. The district is also coordinating logistics to continue Summer Meal Programming at Betsie Valley while that building is under construction.
Trustees did not identify additional funding requests at the meeting; project submittals are in progress and staff will report back as work advances.
