At the Sept. 8 meeting the Benzie County Central Board of Education voted 6-0 to approve the agenda and a consent grouping that included General Fund bills totaling $1,040,895.55 and a set of personnel actions. The consent items listed Rachel Higgins as the fall musical director (high school) and moved Paige Sauer from a long-term substitute position at Homestead Elementary to a long-term substitute secondary PE position at the middle school; a non-union contract update for Melinda Coger was also recorded.
The consent grouping was moved by Board member Mr. Barnard and supported by Mrs. Campana; the motion carried with six ayes and no nays. The minutes state there were no resignations or retirements presented under that consent grouping other than a later-noted resignation recorded separately.
