"It's our recommendation that the board approve a 1% increase to the local certified salary supplement and a 2% increase to the classified pay scale effective for applicable workdays beginning 07/01/2026," Dr. Jess Gainsworth said. The chair confirmed that Miss Smith and her team will ensure affected employees are paid back to July 1, making some of the pay retroactive.
Staff later clarified which positions are included: a staff member said the pay-scale change "includes, all regular positions" and that temporary and limited part-time rates would remain unchanged. Board members asked about coverage for school nutrition personnel; staff confirmed benefit-eligible school nutrition personnel are included in the classified pay-scale change. The board approved the motion by show of hands.
