Board adopts Thrun policy packages covering finance, procurement and Title I parent engagement

Trustees approved two Thrun policy packages—finance/procurement policies (3201, 3201A, 3211, 3212, 3301, 3301A, 3307) and parent/Title I and curriculum policies (5401, 5405, 5406, 5407)—each by unanimous 7–0 votes.
The Chelsea School District Board voted to adopt two sets of policy updates drafted with Thrun counsel. In the first motion (moved by Eric Wilkinson, seconded by Glenn Fox) the board approved finance and procurement-related policies 3201, 3201A, 3211, 3212, 3301, 3301A and 3307. In a second motion (moved by Heidi Reyst, seconded by Nicolia Heineman) the trustees approved parent involvement and Title I-related policies 5401, 5405, 5406 and 5407. Both motions passed unanimously with recorded votes of 7–0.
Board materials listed the policies by number and title; the motions were recorded as effective immediately. The policy adoptions update the district's financial management, procurement, disclosure and parent-engagement frameworks and were presented as individual action items during the meeting.
