The Chelsea School District Board approved Series 3 Bond bids as presented by Clark Construction at the Jan. 12 meeting. The motion, made by Michelle Craig and seconded by Heidi Reyst, passed unanimously with a recorded vote of 7–0.
Clark Construction representatives Chris Martin and Robyn Anes answered trustees' questions about contractor vetting, the bid interview process, expected timelines for each project, and the projected shelf life of athletic turf. Board members also discussed how construction could affect the Young 5s program and asked about communications to families while the district develops placement solutions for impacted early-childhood programming.
