Board members at the Bridgman Public School District special meeting on Nov. 19 recorded interview times for two superintendent candidates and discussed how to structure the final-round interview day. Dr. Sarita Stevens, deputy superintendent of South Bend Public Schools, was listed at 5:00 p.m., and Thomas Reed, principal of Otsego High School, was listed at 6:30 p.m. during the special meeting schedule.
During deliberations, the board directed MLI, the district's search consultant, to coordinate the logistics for a finalist round. MLI representative Andy Ingall called to confirm Reed's availability for a return interview and "gave the board instruction of how the final round will take place and options of activities the board can decide to engage in that day," according to the minutes; the minutes do not record which options the board selected.
The board then approved a motion to bring Reed back for a final interview on Dec. 3, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., which sets the schedule for MLI and district staff to finalize details for the interview day and any associated activities.
