The Cedar Springs Public Schools Board of Education unanimously approved its officers for 2026 at the Jan. 12 organizational meeting. Motion by Trent Gilmore to nominate Heidi Reed for president, supported by Mistie Bowser, carried 6-0; similar unanimous votes installed Bowser as vice president, April Patin as secretary and Trent Gilmore as treasurer.
Superintendent Scott Smith administered the oath of office to the newly elected officers. The board recorded no opposing votes on the slate, reflecting a unanimous consensus to begin the new organizational year with the named leadership.
