Superintendent Peters presented the first reading of several new and revised policies from Vol. 40, No. 1 (September 2025) and a separate nondiscrimination update. The minutes list policy codes reviewed (po2210, po2266, po2412, po4162, po5120(reject), po5460, po5517.01, po7540.02, po7541(rescind), po8300, po8305 and additional nondiscrimination-related codes).
The board did not adopt those policies at the Nov. 24 meeting; they were given a first reading. The minutes record which items are replacements and which are marked for rescission but do not provide the substantive text changes or the rationale for each policy modification. Further action would be required at a subsequent meeting for adoption.
