Justin Trombka presented proposed updates to the Grosse Ile Middle School (GIMS) sex-education curriculum and said the revisions were reviewed by a panel that included educators, parents, community members and health-care providers. He indicated the updated curriculum will be forwarded to the Board of Education for approval at the upcoming regular board meeting.
The work session record (SEG 003) shows the item was presented as part of District Information and Discussion; no formal vote was recorded during the Feb. 10 work session. The board will consider the curriculum revisions for formal action at the next regular meeting, where public comment and board deliberation may be included.
