Dundee board approves $129,725.98 contract for high school gym bleachers

The Dundee Community Schools Board of Education approved a contract with Irwin Seating Company for high school gym bleachers at a cost not to exceed $129,725.98. The board voted unanimously, 7–0, to authorize the purchase at the Aug. 11 meeting.
The board recorded that 98% of the cost will be paid from bond funds and 2% from the district's General Capital Projects fund. Mr. Leach noted the bleacher purchase had been on the bond project list earlier in planning and was removed before being presented for approval. The motion to approve the contract was made by Patricia Motylinski and seconded by Kimberly Wilkins.
