Superintendent, student representative and committees report on LIT, activities and exchange program

Superintendent Eding updated the board on fall sports and clubs, noting the marching band—s preparation for state finals and reporting progress on Literacy Intervention Time (LIT) at the elementary schools. He also described a recent JV football incident that he said had been resolved between the involved families and reported staff participation in a countywide professional development conference.
Student Representative Logan Hendrix told the board he plans to visit each school to meet with student leadership teams. Separately, sister-school exchange students from Germany and their Lakeshore host families spoke during the "Good News About Our Schools" segment about their visit experiences. Committee reports summarized recent committee work on financials, state test data and working-guideline changes.
