Board tours Early Childhood Center and eyes multiple 2026 launches; meeting adjourns after site visit

Dr. DiPonio listed the district's planned 2026 initiatives: Thrun policy adoption (summer 2026), an Ad Center (spring 2026), a Community Center (summer 2026), the Early Childhood Center (opening in August 2026), North Lake relocation (August 2026) and expansion of alternative-education programming (Fall 2026).
The board then toured the construction site for the Early Childhood Center, Community Center and Administrative Offices at 28850 Harper Ave; the tour began at approximately 9:50 a.m. and was open to the public. Following the tour, Board member Amy Thomas-August moved to adjourn the meeting; the motion was seconded by Board member Kenneth Gulock and passed 4-0, with Susan DeLong, Elizabeth Munger and Wendy Tobias recorded as absent. The meeting was adjourned at 12:24 p.m.
