The Howell Public Schools Board approved a consent agenda on Jan. 12 that included payment of district vouchers and multiple student overnight field trips.
The minutes record: "Approved payment of expenditures from the following funds: payment from the general fund of $7,380,018.81 and from payroll of $2,850,032.43; payment from the 2022 tech capital projects fund (PNC 21) of $10,084.58; and payment from the 2025 capital projects fund (PNC 25) of $4,941,636.50." The consent agenda also re‑approved the Board Policy Book, re‑appointed Thrun Law Firm and Collins & Blaha, P.C. for bond, elections and financial matters, and approved signatories and depository continuations as recorded in Exhibits B–E.
Student activities approved under consent included overnight travel for Howell High School FIRST Robotics competitions (March 13–15 in Lake City and March 27–29 in Mason), the JROTC Archery National Championships (May 13–16, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri), the Pro‑Start Culinary Competition (March 2–3 in Battle Creek), and other approved campus activities. The consent motion was moved by Ms. Marhofer and supported by Mr. Bedford; the minutes record the vote as 5‑0 in favor.
