The county executive also explained an amendment to the county's summer food participation agreement after Kansas City elected to opt out — Jackson County Health and Environment will cover the KC area inspections with increased state reimbursement, which the executive described as net positive for county finances.
The consent agenda carried on recorded roll call votes. Legislators asked staff to ensure fiscal notes and attachments are posted before future votes and to include check registers or other supporting documents when available.
