Jackson County's Legislature adopted a consent agenda on April 29 that included procurement and contract items across Public Works, Justice and Finance committees. The list included vehicle and equipment purchases, radio and communications contracts, park improvements and a broadband planning contract.
The Clerk listed items added to the consent agenda including contracts and appropriations for mobile radios, a $378,162 appropriation for pickleball courts at Fleming Park, a $645,420 purchase of 15 Dodge Durango vehicles for the Sheriff's Office, and multiple other supply and equipment contracts. The Clerk read items into the record and the Chair moved to adopt the consent agenda.
The roll call for the consent-adoption recorded six yes votes with three excused/absent members, which the Clerk recorded as the body’s recommendation to adopt. Several items had committee recommendations; a few items were held for later action because the committee had not met. Members flagged procurement scope issues on one parks contract and held that item for correction before finalizing contract authorization.
