The Facilities & Finance Committee reported Sept. 3 discussions on monthly financial statements, the audit, budget matters and bond updates. Committee notes were informational and no board action was recorded at the Sept. 8 meeting.
The Culture & Leadership Committee (met Sept. 5) reviewed the All-Staff Welcome Back meeting, working-guideline updates, an upcoming staff wellness challenge, and the teacher mentor program. Board members also noted the dynamic keynote by Dr. Luis Cruz at district professional development on Aug. 21. Because no board members plan to attend the MASB Delegate Assembly on Oct. 23, the board took no action to select voting delegates.
