The Ionia County Intermediate School District superintendent told the board that all local districts, including the three rural districts served by the ISD, have formally approved transitioning their student information systems from Skyward to PowerSchool. Superintendent Ethan Ebenstein said training and "behind the scenes work will begin shortly."
Board members heard that the change will be implemented districtwide in coordination with local education agency technology directors. The technology director also reported that the ISD staff and LEA technology directors discussed expectations about what local districts will provide in technology support during the transition. No implementation timeline or cost detail was included in the meeting minutes.
