Student representatives Alivia Althoff and Laila Rowley updated the board on student council and leadership activities tied to 'Snowball' week, including posters, voting, a pep assembly and a dance. They also noted the Big Brother/Big Sister Mentor Appreciation Dinner and upcoming Unified Champions Cardinal basketball games; an 'Awareness Day' is planned for April 9.
Athletic Director Chad Patrick reported sports highlights: boys varsity basketball 8-1 (6-1 conference), girls varsity 6-1 (4-0 conference), wrestling and bowling updates, and Jackson United Hockey results. Superintendent Cook relayed a band update from Sarah Nietupski: students are preparing for festival season, Solo & Ensemble on Jan. 31 at Tecumseh High School, and a tentative schedule for Spaghetti & Swing and the March Band Festival.
