Deputy Supervisor asked CDA staff to present a grant application for water-main work. Frank (speaker 10) said the town has used a prior $2.25 million award to fund River Road (extension 95) and is now seeking roughly $4,000,000 to finish Extension 96 in Calverton. He said total project cost is just under $7,500,000 and the town has the remaining funds assembled or committed; staff worked with EPA to confirm permissibility of applying prior funds to River Road so Extension 96 remains as the outstanding segment.
Board members praised the long-term effort to assemble funding and asked staff to explain the distribution; Frank said the town has applied for grant funding in groupings of extensions and distributes received funds proportionally to project costs. The resolution to authorize the application was included in the packet for board action.
