District updates: PBIS presentation, committee reports and 2026 meeting schedule adopted

Student Services Director Jeron Blood and building administrators presented an update on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) implementation and progress at the Jan. 12 board meeting.
Committee reports noted the Student Success Committee's Dec. 16 work plan for using bond funds for classroom upgrades (site visits, staff input, pilot planning and timelines); Facilities & Finance reviewed financial reports and Budget Modification #2 on Jan. 6 and received LEF grant updates; Culture & Leadership reviewed staffing updates, the District Pulse publication and the football coach interview process and plans to share staff survey results.
The board adopted a By-Laws Resolution that, among other governance items, set regular monthly meetings for 2026 on the second Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the LEF Learning Center (with two dates held at Central Administration noted). The minutes also note the district will make reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities upon request to the Board President.
