Board approves DECA overnight trips to MSU, Detroit and Orlando
Summary
The board approved DECA overnight trips: State Leadership Summit at Michigan State University (Nov. 13–14, 2025), State Career Development Conference in Detroit (Mar. 5–7, 2026), and International Career Development Conference in Orlando (Apr. 25–29, 2026).
Trustee Jason Beckrow moved and Secretary Lori VonKoenig supported approval of DECA overnight trips for students and advisors. Approved trips include the State Leadership Summit at Michigan State University (Nov. 13–14, 2025); the State Career Development Conference in Detroit (March 5–7, 2026); and the International Career Development Conference in Orlando (April 25–29, 2026).
The motion carried and allows student participation in these competitive and leadership events. The board did not record additional conditions or restrictions on the trips in the meeting minutes.
