Superintendent Eding told the board that the Lakeshore High School Marching Band won the Division IV State Championship at Ford Field on Nov. 1, marking the program's 11th overall title and third in a row. The superintendent encouraged families to attend upcoming parent-teacher conferences and reminded the community about district procedures for inclement-weather announcements as winter approaches.
Earlier in the meeting, students from Mr. Bushu’s third-grade class at Hollywood, joined by two varsity football players, presented on 'Football Fridays.' Board members congratulated the marching band on its state championship during the 'Good News' portion of the agenda.
