At the Aug. 14 meeting the Southern Lyon County USD #252 Board of Education approved the district's 2024–25 Building Needs Assessments for four schools: Neosho Rapids Elementary School, Olpe Elementary School, Hartford Jr/Sr High School and Olpe Jr/Sr High School. The motion was moved by Melissa Carson, seconded by Brad Hoelting, and passed 5-0.
Board approval of the needs assessments permits administrators to include the identified projects and priorities in planning and potential future budget allocations. The minutes do not list dollar amounts or specific projects; the assessments were approved "as presented," and the business office will use the documents in upcoming capital planning.
