At the April 21 meeting the Fiscal Court reappointed Wendell Hawkins as a commissioner of Henry County Water District No. 2 on a motion by Esq. Fisher and second by Esq. Tingle; the motion carried unanimously.
The Court also authorized Judge/Executive Scott Bates to sign agreements with entertainers and vendors for Henry County's celebration of America's 250th anniversary after a motion by Esq. Frederick and second by Esq. Fisher; that motion carried unanimously. Judges and auditors requested a recorded motion to document the authority before Mayor‑level signature activity.
On financial business the Court approved claims and transfers totaling $373,695.28 across funds (General Fund $249,744.79; Road & Bridge $73,060.71; Jail $47,947.19; LGEA $1,340.32; Solid Waste $70.27; ABC $1,532.00) and transferred $50,000 from the General Fund to the Jail Fund. The motion to approve claims and transfers was made by Esq. McManis, seconded by Esq. Frederick, and carried unanimously.
