At the March 9 meeting, the Michigan Center Board of Education heard several recognitions from administrators acknowledging staff and volunteers across buildings.
Alicia Bially and Lisa Haynes listed multiple staff and volunteers who supported popcorn Friday, parent engagement nights, the Disney musical, M-STEP planning, and 'March is Reading Month' activities. Paul Swihart and Robert Decoster were singled out for organizing the district ski trip (more than 80 students participated), and several staff members were thanked for chaperoning events and supporting students.
The recognitions were presented as part of the 'Recognize District Greatness' agenda item; no board action was required.
