Superintendent Leasa Griffith-Mathews reported that the district—ond project is approaching its final inspections, with one remaining elementary inspection focused on newly added fire-alarm pulls and a final fire marshal check planned for the high school locker rooms. She said air conditioning is running in most rooms and teachers are setting up classrooms for the start of the year.
Griffith-Mathews told trustees that tile is being removed from a shower in the girls' locker room because of a leak and that this locker room will not be ready for the first week of school. The superintendent said the district has raised several issues with Tower Pinkster during this phase and will continue to update the board.
